Saturday Stuff

We finally had a day with no wind so we had my lovely friend Cora take our pictures. It was so cold out! This is about the best we could do with the kids. It is so hard to get them to smile for pictures, but that is okay. I figure as long as we can all be in one picture looking half decent, then we succeeded!

Our plan was to get individual pictures of the kids, but there was no way that was going to happen. We will have to wait until Spring.
After pictures we went to get our Christmas tree. It was so cold there as well so we didn't take too long picking out a tree. It was a fun little place. We went on a hay ride, sat by a bonfire, thought about drinking hot chocolate (but didn't want to stand in line), let Dylan play on the straw pyramid, and the best part is watching your tree on the tree shaker. It shakes all the loose stuff off the tree and is pretty funny to watch. We also got free popcorn balls when we left. This is way better then going to the grocery store to get your tree. We love picking out our own tree.

That night we went to a Resident Christmas party (for Nate's work). It was pretty fun. Lots of food and funny White Elephant gifts. Dylan and Cassie even scored big time in the children's gift exchange.

Cute family pictures! I remember the days of cutting a fresh tree from the mountains. I finally got smart and bought artificial. It lasts so much longer. Can you send me your mailing address via email?

The shaking tree thing sounds awesome. I always have little spiders for a couple days and it grosses me out.
