Pregnancy update...

So people have been asking about my pregnancy and things are going really well. I am actually really enjoying being pregnant right now. 2 months ago I wouldn't have said that and in another month or 2 I will take those words back.

I was really nauseated the first few months and was very happy to get rid of that. I was also very tired and I now have most of my energy back. If I get my sleep, that is. If not, I am very grumpy. Just ask my kids.

I had another ultrasound last week and things look good. We were worried about placenta previa, but it has corrected itself. I also have lots of amniotic fluid too, which is great. As some of you know, I had to have an unplanned C-section with Cassie because of low levels of fluid. They are keeping an eye on that this time and so far so good.

The baby moves a LOT and Dylan loves to feel and watch her move. At the amount of movement I feel inside of me, I think Dylan will have another contender to wrestle with.

Life is great. We have been very blessed. And I hope you enjoy the beauty and hotness of this 26 week pregnant me:

(This is only because everyone keeps asking for a pic)

A sticky mess

Sunday morning as I was finishing getting ready for church, Dylan comes into the bathroom to tell me that Cassie has made a mess. I walk into the living room to find a whole bottle of this:

spilled all over the kitchen floor, the couch, a pillow, the rug, and the carpet. Great. Oh, and it was all over Cassie's dress, legs, and shoes too. A WHOLE bottle of syrup. I hardly doubt that it was Cassie who did it, since it was a new bottle and still had the seal on it. So anyway, I hurry and clean up Cassie and what I could of the syrup and leave.
Since then, I have been cleaning never ending stickiness. It is everywhere. Even after using the carpet cleaner 49 times on the sticky spot, it is STILL sticky. Will it ever end? AHHHHH!
On a side note, I learned yesterday that I should not play softball while carrying a fetus at 6 months. I am hurtin like never before!

Zoo day

I know I haven't posted pictures of the kids in a while, so here is a bunch. We had a free zoo day today with Medmates and even though it was FREEZING, the kids had fun. And so did I...... I guess.

These pictures are for Grandpa Folsom.

Above: Dylan, Hunter, and Cassie. Can you tell where Dylan is looking? He was more thrilled with the "cow poop" then anything else.

Not afraid to get close to the farm animals. Dylan kept talking about how the cow's tongue was really long.

Cassie kept jumping up trying to grab this goats head. She isn't afraid of ANYTHING!

Guatemala part 3 - The finale!

On the 2nd to last day of their trip, Nate and 3 other guys spent the day climbing a volcano. This was one of the highlights of the trip for Nate. He loves this kind of stuff.

Above: Here he is posing in front of one of the 33 volcanoes in Guatemala.
Below: The Volcano he hiked up. This picture is taken part way up the volcano.

Above: Hiking up the volcano. Some locals followed them like vultures until the older hikers tired out enough to rent some horses from them.
Below: A horse. I think this picture was taken for Dylan's sake.

Above: A common way of carrying things. I don't think I would last too long there.

Above: The 4 hikers. This was the stopping point for the out-of-shape hikers. Nate and Greg continued up to the very top.
Below: One hot volcano hiker.

Above: The actual hole in the volcano. I can't believe Nate got that close! In one of the pictures he took you could see actual ash in the air, but I forgot to download that one. Oops.
Below: A cheesy smile at the top of the volcano.

Above and below: It looks like Nate is getting a little too close to the lava. He could actually see it moving. As bragging rights, he wants all his family that have been or who are going to Hawaii this month to know that you can't get this close to the lava in Hawaii. You'll have to go to Guatemala for this experience.

And that is the end. Hope you all enjoyed the pictures.

Guatemala part 2

Here are some pictures of the clinic and the medical care in the villages:

Above: Nate and a physician preparing medical supplies to take to a village.
Below: Traveling up to the Mayan villages in the mountains.

Above: Nate enjoying the some Guatemalan air...with a dog.

Above: One of the schools which was a make shift clinic for the day.
Below: People waiting their turn at the clinic.

Above: A cute little family.
Below: This is how the Mayan women carry their babies around. I think I'd rather use a front carrier sling.

Above: A cute girl.

Above and below: Dr. Nate hard at work.

WARNING!!!! Viewer discretion is advised on the next few pictures,
which are as follows:
  1. A newborn with a bad reaction to scabies.
  2. A girl with scarring of her cornea from a previous eye infection.
  3. Cleft palate.
  4. Bacteria conjunctivitis (eye infection).

Above: A security guard guarding a washing machine dealership. Scary.

Guatemala part 1

I am finally getting pictures up of Nate's medical trip to Belize/Guatemala. He loved this trip so much and can't wait until he can take me back with him. I am all for that! In a short summary, he went with a team of 6 residents/physicians to help Mayan villages and an orphanage with medical care. He also had time to explore the area and have some fun! I know Nate would do a lot better job at explaining everything, but he is entrusting this to me. I hope I can tell it right. Enjoy!
Above: The medical team
Below: The boat they traveled and slept on for the majority of the trip. It looks pretty small for all these guys to sleep on, but apparently it slept 10 people. A dentist owns this boat and he put this whole trip together for them.

Above: A dolphin in the ocean.
Below: Taking a little boat to relax on an island.
Above and below: Foliage along the Rio Dulce. Nate said it was BEAUTIFUL. Apparently this river is among the top 100 places to see in the world. Neat.
Above: A restaurant among the Rio Dulce.
Below: Scenery in the Guatemalan mountains.

Above: A soccer game they came across.
Below: I think this is in Antigua. There were little markets everywhere.

Above and below: A parade they came across in one of the villages.

Above: Some hot springs where they had their weekly bath, which some tourists were kidnapped from 2 days previous. Nice.

Above and below: Some houses in a village. And a pig.

Above: Nate and a couple other residents found an LDS church on Sunday and really enjoyed the ward. This is a picture outside of it.
